[ She might not expect him to seek her out, but it's not that long after the execution that Axel goes to see Naminé. He looks... alright, honestly, but she's probably used to that from him. ]

[ but the greeting is all he gives her, looking her over as if trying to figure out how she's doing just from a quick look. ]

[ naminé is seated on the ground, her sketchbook on her lap. she's not too far along in the drawing, but from what's there it's obviously going to be sora.

she offers him a small smile. ]

[ of course she's drawing sora. he smiles a bit, wry. ]

Do you miss him?

[ it's said easily enough, because it's true.

she'll close the sketchbook and set it down. ]

Yeah... me too.

[ he doesn't mind admitting to that. He wouldn't want him to be here, but... if he was, it'd probably make things easier. He goes to sit next to her, quiet. ]

While I was training with Kairi... when she missed him, she used to write him letters. Never sent him a single one, though. [ it feels silly, to tell naminé anything about kairi. maybe a bit mean, too. he can't tell if she'd want to hear about it. ]

I'm sure her words would have reached him anyway, since they're from her heart.

[ she places a hand where hers would be-- is? it's still strange to think about. ]

It wouldn't really be right for me to copy something she did though. I did enough of that.

[ he misses kairi. it's funny, he hadn't thought of it before, because he absolutely believed sora would find a way to get her back, but with mary also... so he misses kairi. it's weird.

but he'd missed naminé, too, in a weird way, and she's the one in front of him right now. so he affirms: ]

[ she trails off, and then shakes her head. ]

[ he tilts his head, but lets it go. ]

Nope. Something you wanna do?

I'm going to make you soup.

[ it's said very firmly ]

[ she stands up, picking up the sketchbook

and just starts walking regardless if he follows or not ]

[ he does, turning a chair around so he can watch her while also sitting backwards on a chair like an asshole, leaning his chin on his crossed arms.
