[ he's surprised at it and it shows-- and it's one thing to hold hands with little kids, and another entirely when it's...

but she's just worried about him, he shouldn't be getting so flustered about it. he squeezes back, rubbing the back of his neck with the other, not really meeting her eyes. he's a little bit flushed. ]

'Course. Don't worry about me. I'm a big boy. [ ... why would he say that. ] --You be careful, too.

[She gives another squeeze, her expression tender, before she lets go.]

I don’t have to worry about my partner stalking me or wanting to be set on fire.

[ he huffs out a laugh ]

That's 'cause Naminé hasn't hit her rebellious phase yet.

Somehow I feel like she won’t ask anyone to set her on fire during that phase.

Maybe just in the dramatic teenager way. Y'know. "Ugh, this is so awful, I'd rather just be set on fire right now".

I don’t know, I can’t really picture it.

Yeah, she'd never pull it off.

How well did you know her before all this?

It’s not really mine to talk about, but... What I saw from her was a little bit concerning. That’s all.

... Yeah. That doesn't surprise me. She hasn't had the easiest time. [ a slight understatement. he pauses. ] What did you see?

...Sorry. I wouldn’t like it if she told other people what she saw from me.
