Well. I got really fed up and I gave this big speech about how I didn't sign up for the shit they were making me do, I threw my apron on the ground, it was all very dramatic.

[A beat.]

And then I realized my bosses were both aliens, so that took some of the impact out of it.

[She nods.]

Word of advice. If an unexplained meteor ever crash lands in your town, leave immediately.

Roger that. [ ... well, technically, that sort of happened in Radiant Garden, didn't it? huh. ] Maybe this is the real reason there's so many rules about going to other worlds.

The exact wording is "don't meddle", but I'm sure taking it over is also frowned upon.

[ he leans back a bit, staring up at the sky ]

... But if I'm honest, the world I'm from kinda went through the wringer already.

... The darkness back home doesn't just target people. It can destroy worlds, too. Every time a star went out in the sky, it meant another world had fallen to it.

Well... it ain't easy, but it is possible. About a year ago, some kid came by and restored all the worlds that were lost at once.

[ he sounds inexplicably fond ]

Yeah. He's something else. Kinda always getting himself into trouble, though.

Yeah, trying to save the world usually does that. Go figure.
