[Here we go again. Val is still poking around in the gateway and when he finds Lea in the inn he's delighted.

But he also can't act like he is, because that's horrible and embarrassing. Still, he can't hide the easy little smile on his face.]

Hello, Lea.

[leaberator]

[ Lea's honestly just looking around at the mirror-- he could swear he saw a face earlier-- and he almost jumps when he hears Val greet him, swiveling around on one foot instead.

He smiles back and waves ]

Yo, Vally. You plannin' an overnight stay?

[Val looks amused when he startles like that. Sure he likes him, but at the same time, some old habits don't die.

It's not a strong sense of fear, but it's still nice.]

I was considering it. Are you?

A nice relaxing evening in spooky haunted inn? Still sounds better than my house.

[ there are less clowns here? ha ha, joke. ]

You don't enjoy places that seem slightly haunted?

Eh, I don't mind 'em, but you've been to one haunted mansion, you've been to them all, y'know?

I used to do the scaring, but yes. They don't change much from location to location.

... Wait, really? Did you just hang out in creepy places and wait for victims? Did you have a coffin?

[Why else does he go around in very obviously a vampire clothing? Because he's a dramatic vampire.]

So you're telling me you've been adding dramatic flair to this place this whole time an' I just thought that was normal for your world?

No, not here. I have a coffin at home.

I haven't done anything to the place though the gateway.

[leaberator]

No, I got that. I meant you were adding dramatic flair by existing. Y'know... your whole get-up? Unless that's not pair of your showmanship.

Just by existing, huh?

[He fusses with the collar of his cape for a moment before letting it go.]

Of course it is. It's important that my entire outfit says what I am. I dress like a vampire because I am one.

[leaberator]

I guess, but... Why d'you want everyone to know so bad?

Because it's important to know what they're fighting. I shouldn't go around looking like a werewolf if I'm not one, that would be unfair.

[leaberator]

[ ................ uh? ]

Huh? You advertise what you are for... fairness of battle?

Of course.

I'm aware my stance is contrary to most demons, but a proud and noble demon should fight fairly.

[leaberator]

I think it's contrary to most people who fight in general.

[omegathree]

Do you prefer to keep your abilities hidden?

Sure, if I'm fightin' someone new. It's one thing to introduce yourself an' another to advertise your potential weaknesses.

I am completely confident in my abilities.
